Tournament training tips

Tournaments are very competitive events and in order to be in the best condition possible to compete, you need to be fit.  Here is a training regime for all those who are serious about their karate and tournament karate.  If you want to know more please ask Sensei Ray.

Morning 7.30am

Run 20 mins        stretch 5 mins        Shadow box 10 mins

Punch bag (punching drills) 15 mins    Punch bag (kicking drills) 10 mins

100 sit ups      20 pull ups           100 press ups

20 high grade kata       Stretch to finish

Evening 8.pm

Skipping 10 mins

Stretching 10 mins

Punch bag (punch kick combos) 10 mins

Sparring 20-30 mins

Shadow box 5 mins to cool down

Stretching 5 mins
