Tournament Training Class
Tournament training class is held every Sunday at Rollston Primary School, Eyres Monsell. It is open to all GKR Karate ka and is not restricted to Regions 27 students.
The class is from 18.30 - 20.30 and is not a normal class. Tournament class concentrates on Cardio fitness, Kata and Kumite so it is not a class to learn your basics. It also covers tournament etiquette and what to do when competing. These classes are an excellent opportunity to training with some on the countries finest competitors in a relaxed and very friendly atmosphere.
You do not have to enter tournaments if you wish although you are encouraged to have a go. Some students training in tournament class just to get fitter and to improve their karate. This is fine.
Those who attend tournament class have the option of entering National All Styles (NAS) Competitions for team GKR. These competitions allow you to compete against other styles of martial arts.
If you want to try out the class just turn up on a Sunday night ready to training with plenty of fluids and you will be welcomed by all.
This is a special class so PTF cards do not apply
